The Center for Byzantine Material Arts is now Many Years Farm and Iconography Studio.
We have made some big changes! We still provide icon commissions and intensive courses and our on-line store is still operating here under ‘Shop’ for all your icon and icon card needs, and we still sell icons at The Trinity House Café in Leesburg VA-But now we are offering our beautiful farm as a place of retreat through iconography and natural living courses.
Two to three times a year we will offer intensive icon writing courses at St. Anna’s Orthodox Mission in Louisa VA. They will be posted here and on our newsletter which you can sign up for below. I send them out a few months before each course.
I’ll also offer a short class on a specific aspect of the icon as well offering now and again a class on independent living or something that is inviting and relaxing for people to partake in. Look under ‘Events’ for all classes.
For other wonderful things to do when you give us a visit, think about visiting The Queen of All Sketes-a small monastery about a 10 minute drive away with a great little gift shop!
As the farm grows we hope to offer a few more ways of making this a peaceful retreat. Many people come out for the day and just walk around, paint, sit on our many porches, have a cup of tea, hang out with the animals or volunteer to help around the farm and gardens. Let us know if you’d like to volunteer or ‘rent a porch’.

The name ‘Many Years’ comes from the Orthodox blessing sung for many a happy occasion:
